What’s the best time of year to ride in Hà Giang?
•March–May: Best weather, flowers bloom
•September–November: Golden rice fields, cool air
•December–February: Misty mountains, peaceful vibe (cold but magical)
Each season has its charm. Tell us what you like — we’ll match the vibe.
What should I pack for the trip?
We’ll send a detailed checklist once you book, but generally:
•Good shoes (for walking and riding)
•Lightweight clothes + a warm jacket (mountains get cold)
•Sunscreen, sunglasses, small towel
•Personal medication (if any)
•Camera or phone for those views!
You don’t need to overpack – Ha Giang teaches you to live light.

Yes.
You can leave your big luggage safely at our office in Ha Giang.
We’ll provide a small bag to carry essentials on the road.
I don’t have a motorbike license. Can I still ride?
No, a valid international motorbike license is required to ride in Ha Giang. Police checks are common due to rising accidents involving unlicensed tourists. Riding without a license may also void your insurance.
Can I use my home country’s license to ride in Vietnam?
You’ll need an international motorbike license to ride legally in Vietnam. If you only have a national license, you may be able to convert or translate it into an international one before your trip.
Some countries allow riding 50cc bikes with a car license—these don’t require a license in Vietnam. Just make sure to check your country’s rules and prepare in advance.
